thirdspace exists because we got tired of saying we should hang and never actually doing it. Group chats full of plans that go nowhere, weekends spent scrolling, friends who live 10 minutes away that you somehow only see twice a year. We built thirdspace to fix that. Snap a pic of what you are doing, send it out, your friends have 2 minutes to lock in, then maps unlock and you meet up. No overthinking, no scheduling, no group chat debates. Just real plans that happen in real time.

We are a small team based in Canada building the app we wish existed when we were in school. thirdspace is free, available on iOS, and getting better every week.

## How It Works

1. **Start a Sidequest**: Snap a pic of whatever caught your attention or whatever you are doing.
2. **Friends Lock In**: Your nearby friends have 2 minutes to accept. No maybe later, no let me check my schedule.
3. **Maps Unlock**: Your location stays hidden until someone accepts. Then maps unlock for both of you. Go link up.
4. **Capture the Moment**: Meet up, take a pic together. No filters. Just proof you actually left the house.

## Safety

Your safety is the foundation of everything we build. thirdspace is designed to get you outside with your friends, and we take that responsibility seriously.

- **Hidden location by default**: Your location is never visible to anyone unless you both agree to a sidequest. No passive tracking, no background location sharing. When the sidequest ends, location sharing stops immediately.
- **2 minute opt in window**: Nobody can show up uninvited. Both people have to actively choose to join a sidequest before any location is shared.
- **In app reporting**: You can report any user or content directly in the app. Every report is reviewed by our team.
- **No data selling**: We do not sell your data. We do not share your phone number, location history, or personal information with third parties.
- **Account controls**: You can block users, delete your account, and manage your privacy settings at any time.
- **Age requirement**: thirdspace is for users 18 and older.
